The
HMS Rotterdam still in the harbour, right at full sea the Lynx is used for
logistics |

During
the exercise several hoists were made from the helicopter to the ship and
backwards |
e |

First
a winchman is lowered to the ship's deck, he helps the others who are
hoisted |

The
winchman goes down, the winch operator remains in the Lynx to do his job |

Good view inside on the
platform, but one of our flights had very low visibility

The
winchman goes up and down again and the pilots keep on training

These
actions were also seen in the night, but flashlights were strictly
forbidden (Pilots)

and control, and a view (r) in the control room of the 'steel beach' |

This 'steel beach' can even
load tanks, or allow landingboats to bring special forces ashore |
e |
e |
Also
heavy material can be taken in like trucks or landingboats

Personell
can be transported in large numbers in the ship, the Lynx enters on the
platform again

HMS

Lynx flies in
e |
e |
Pilots
on shore prepare for their flight to be hoisted, and this deck-guy has a
really tough job ! |
e |
e |
He
is to bring in the helicopters in a safe way till they 'harpoon'
themselves on the deck |
